via twitter, a blog post. i feel as though i could not express these thoughts in 160 characters or less.
so here we go.
i always get sucked into these series. and i love them, but i loathe waiting for them, upon finishing book two of my current series i asked my father if there was a book four. no there wasn't it doesn't come out until JESI'S BIRTHDAY. that's forever and then i went to the website to read about it. there is going to be SIX of them and the estimated finishing date is 2011. I'll be in college by the time i come to the conclusion about Rose and Dimitri's love. UGH. but also authors must have this sixth sense and know which characters i enjoy the most because they always kill them off. like really mason, Dimitri, and oh it is just too much.
and then there are the thrilling conclusions you are so excited about and then they suck so horribly. like the fifth book in the seer series. i waited so long to read it and then that book was such a failure, it made me wish i hadn't known there was a fifth book; this also rings true with the maximum ride books, series of unfortunate events, and cirque du freak. and please don't get me started on breaking dawn, that wasn't even a book that was firewood.
making movies out of books is just another way Hollywood is ruining things. it just shows that the screenwriters were completely unoriginal and sucked at thinking of anything interesting. so they took people's thoughts and turned them into their own. but worse than that are the authors like, for example, Stephanie Meyer, who go on saying that it's exciting for the movie deal, and then lie to all the book's fans and says it sticks so close to the book. FYI it doesn't. twilight, gone with the wind, series of unfortunate events... all victims. yes, i am aware that the movies are based so things aren't supposed to be 100%, but they are based so loosely that they could even change the title. i have yet to read slumdog millionaire's novel Q&A, but i almost don't even want to.
and the straw that broke the camel's back?

that is disgusting, she did all of these things: the waiting, the killing of characters, and the sucky conclusion. stolarz made me wait for so long and now with the next and probably final novel she turns it into a graphic novel. whatthefuck. excuse my language, but who in their right minds does that.?! i hate those little Asian looking things, i mean i have no problem if other people enjoy things like that, but i am not one of those people. another example of this blasphemy is the maximum ride books.
now don't get me wrong i enjoy reading, but reading a book and enjoying it is completely different than obsessing over it, and what people do nowadays is mostly in the category of obsessing. it is because of these "teenies" as gabriella call them, that i have lost interest in so many things, and it's not just in books, it also refers to bands, movies, and websites.
but whatever, it's not like a post can change these things.
i just wanted to get some things off my chest.
don't take it personal.
